My wife says I like this show because of the old guns. 1st season mainly Webley .455. Then a couple of nice C-96 Broomhandled Mausers. The Lewis gun comes in handy. Enfields, Season 4 The main Character Tommy upgrade his personnel firearm to a 1911. The Italians Introduce Tommy and his family to the Tommy. And then enters the Bergmann MP-28. She maybe on to something,I do tend to notice the guns. Pretty sure she watches for the fashion , drama and good looking lead character. Recommend show. -
IMA Dummy 1928 on Original Receiver
1armybrat replied to Motorcar's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
I bought a torch cut mg-34 from IMA 2 years ago. It came in with a 3 inch gap. I emailed him pictures. He was very good about going out and digging through his inventory. He sent me what I needed. Now theres a nice star of David mg-34 burning belts of surplus 8mm out there. He treated me right. -

Dutch Luger with Leather
1armybrat replied to Sandman1957's topic in What Is It? - Ask the Firearm Experts Forum
Type 1906 Luger,1st contract between the Dutch army and DWM. The fact that the Dutch proof mark is on the right side of the receiver signify's 1st contract. The order was for 1,391 pistols placed May 1911 and delivered the next year. This one is in really good shape ,Dutch Lugers were exposed to lots of salt air and moisture. as they were shipped to the Dutch East Indies. It was common practice to replace the barrels every 6 to 7 years and stamp the service date on the barrel. The fact that it has the brass tag tells us it was not an officers pistol. Marks on tag MLdep = Central Java Depot ( Magelang Java ) The rig is a 2nd type m-11 holster. The Dutch army wanted the Luger mags to be field serviceable therefore an intricate latch was incorporated in the wooden base to allow for disassembly. Damn hard mag to find. Very nice. I will give you $200. for the set. -
Thompson ATF Approved 1971 Demill What Good is it?
1armybrat replied to 1armybrat's topic in Class III Forum
Understood. I have had them ask for more specific information and request I resubmitted the form 2 as it applied to a dealer sample. Being my 1st reactivation gun I am not sure whether it is C&R transferable. How is this determined? I have read through the post on this forum and a few on others. But still not sure. This gun was transfered to my 07/02 business from the estate on a form 5. When I go to sell it ,how do I know its C&R transferable? Is the advantage of the C&R transferable gun the savings of one $200. fee or is their more to it? -
