  1. Good afternoon all, Looking for my next mg purchase. Looking for a 1919 side plate gun, not an original C&R gun based on the price difference. Looking for a shooter, does not necessarily have to come as a package deal with tripods and accessories and all that jazz. Preferably already set up in .30-06 but not a deal breaker if its not.
  2. I did my own on my last Form 4. No issues getting them approved, used a card holder too. Only issues I had was getting the prints to come out right. I was doing some M1 Garand wood stock work prior to this and a bunch of tung and lindseed oil was on my hands a few days prior to doing the prints....made things pretty interesting when trying to roll my prints but I eventually got them right.
  3. I have a repro front grip from Sarco and that's exactly where I have mine mounted on my Mk2 tube gun. Works really well in full auto and I really have not had issues with it coming undone or spinning the barrel shroud/nut off. I have it covering the gap between the shroud nut and the receiver just forward enough to rotate the magazine housing if needed.
  4. I also have experience with one of the new made barrels from stenparts...same one linked in the first reply. I did have to make adjustments by minor sanding to get it to fit in the barrel bushing of my Taylor mfg tube gun (Mk2). After taking care of magazine feeding issues and ejecting issues from other related parts, the new repro barrel works better than the barrel it came with. That may be due to the feed ramps of the chamber of the original barrel getting hammered to hell from the above mentioned issues. +1 from me for the stenparts new made barrels.
  5. New here to the board. I have a Sten Mk2 that I was trying to find viable options for a pistol grip stock assembly without having to move the fire control group forward like the Mk5. One day I got bored and decided to see what I could cobble together in a day and cut/welded together a loop stock and a pistol grip. I'll have to take some newer pictures after grinding and cleaning up the welds and blueing the attachment points, the only pictures I have right now are right after finishing up with the welding. https://imgur.com/gallery/jdyJw70 After playing around with it at several different positions, it felt more comfortable to flip it and utilize the comb of the stock on the underside, giving it a good angle and height and a nice little pocket behind the pistol grip for your hand....took it to one of the local machine gun shoots recently and surprisingly got quite a few compliments on it.
