I just purchased one of the Amazon replica rifle cases. My OOW A1918 (M1918 replica) fit right in. For the price, I think it’s quite nice. Much nicer than I was expecting. Would definitely buy again if I get a 1903. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BZWYWR62?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Looking for extra BAR magazines
minimike replied to Chappy's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
I hadn’t realized how expensive BAR magazines have gotten lately. It’s crazy what people are charging for beat up surplus magazines. They’re going for more than I paid for NOS blued BAR mags I got a few years ago. -

100% Philadelphia Ordnance M1918 Recievers?
minimike replied to Bayrain's topic in Browning Message Board (Semi Only)
I can remember when M1918a3’s were $2500. It was the late 80’s. An unobtainable amount for me back then. My NIB A1918 cost me $6k four years ago. I wonder what OOW BAR’s will be in 20 years. -

OOW 1918A3 "Jungle BAR" modifications

I just realized it was about a year ago you started this thread inquiring about getting this built. In that time, you talked to deerslayer, got into his queue for the work, and he got it done. I’m impressed with how fast all this came together! -
I would imagine that’s the only semiautomatic BAR Jungle Carbine in the world. It needs a leather scabbard though. Something similar to the Garand scabbards.

Velken, Did deerslayer end up making that BAR Jungle Carbine for you? -
Hale muzzle brake for BAR
minimike replied to nate129's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
No; however, there was an experimental bipod mount threaded for the flash hider at one time: Maybe an A2 bipod mount / flash hider could be turned down and threaded. -
Hale muzzle brake for BAR

I’m sending funds in the morning for one. Thanks! Mike -
I saw an image this week somewhere on the internet of a BAR that had a mount where the rear sight goes. Picture wasn’t detailed enough to make out the mount. OOW’s HCAR picatinny mount probably fits the A1918 and M1918a3. Griffen and Howe make a side mount for a flat sided receiver. I would imagine that if the Army had wanted to scope the BAR, they would have started with the guys that were making the M1C mounts.

OOW 1918A3 "Jungle BAR" modifications
minimike replied to velken's topic in Browning Message Board (Semi Only)
OOW makes a 16” BAR, just not in the configuration you want. I would imagine they have most of the parts to assemble one very close to what you want. Whatever parts they don’t have, BMG or Apex might have. The question is does OOW have time for a custom build? They would be my first call. Deerslayer would be my second call. He could build that for you from an M1918a3 or a A1918. The A1918 would be easier to do since it is a semi M1918. You can check out some of his BAR and Colt R80 Monitor builds on YouTube. Deerslayer’s company My OOW A1918 and Colt 1911: PS: I have been thinking…. A 16” H.C.A.R with M1918 wood, Knight Armament SR25 MAMS muzzle brake, and BAR iron sights front and back would be a cool Modern R80 Monitor. Drinking Bourbon right now so cut me some slack. -

Question on Swedish KG M/37 BAR
minimike replied to TennesseeTaylor95's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
“After the Great War Sweden bought some BAR m/1918 from Colt manufacturing Co. in USA made to Swedish specifications. The most obvious difference was a removable pistol grip on the Swedish gun.” Aren’t many of the Swedish M/21 and Colt M1918 made BAR parts interchangeable? It would make sense that 1911 grip screws and bushings would work. -
R75 Clone up on Gunbroker
minimike replied to minimike's topic in Browning Message Board (Full Auto Only)
I’m no expert; but, isn’t that an R-75A Barrel? I wonder if it was built off a parts kit; or, it’s a mix of found assorted parts? -
Interesting gun; but, the description leaves a lot to be desired. You would think if you were trying to sell something this expensive there would be more relevant information and pictures of the item being sold. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/978029099

Last night as I was going to bed I received an emailed invoice from BMG for $1000 worth of .50 cal M2 parts. It was for someone in Texas with my last name. We got the snafu figured out, no big deal. Then just as we were laughing about the mistake, he mentioned they have just received reproduction Browning M1918a2 Monopods in stock. As I have a monopod and my wife was already laying in bed waiting for me to turn the lights off, I didnt ask the price. Just thought the BAR board would like to know. Mike Dozier in TN, not the guy in TX, LOL
