  1. I've got a Kahr/Auto Ordnance 1927a1 Deluxe for sale... It's been completely reworked and refinished (metal not wood) by PK. It has a GI Mag Catch so it loves GI mags. It includes a Kahr L drum(50 rds) that PK reworked. A 30 rd GI mag Violine case Extra horizontal foregrip..just in case It has been refinieshed and I guarantee you won't find a better job (Thanks PK) I fired 500 rds. through it when PK sent it back. Flawless. I'm asking $2575.00 Seems high, but thise is a beauty.
  2. Last year I sent my 1927 Deluxe Kahr Semi in to PK along with some GI mags, a GI Mag catch, and a Kahr L drum. I asked for a tune up because it was a problematic (imagine that?) Kahr and I wanted PK to refinish it like a 1928. It was with PK for quite a long time. When I received it I took it out and shot 300 rounds through it without a failure. Something that had NEVER been done. The 1928 style bluing garnners lots of Oh'sand Ah's. PK, you're the man! I'd recommene you to anyone, anytime. Thanks Coz aka Randy Cosby, Owner Northwest Houston Tactical
  3. QUOTE (Hawkeye_Joe @ Feb 16 2005, 06:03 PM) It screws in just like the originals do. Thanks
  4. A friend of mine asked me if I knew how the barrel was attached on a Kahr Semi Thompson. He asked if it was pressed or otherwise. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance. P.S. PK - I'm still packing mine up to send you......
  5. My daughter + Thompson Here's my baby girl (16 1/2, but still my little girl) with my troublesome Kahr Semi....it looks good, however troublesome... Cheers Coz
  6. The Short Barreled Rifle tax is only $5.00 right? Isn't it an AOW? or is it class III? $200? I was thinking that I would like a shorter barrel on my semi Kahr....
  7. Dylan, Thanks! I have a friend that loves to do metal work and has the right tools and stuff, and he wanted to do this for me. The guy actually makes replacement screws for his Mausers..... I think he could make some bucks making replacement screws for thompsons..... I'm sure someone has purchase one with bungled up screws..
  8. QUOTE (Mike45 @ Mar 11 2004, 02:12 PM) Coz, I have never had a semi but I would think that with a GI catch & GI mag it should work without any mod. Apparently you have to take about .100 of the piece that protrudes into the mag. I think it's because the ones sold by numrich or whomever are M1A1 spares....but, I could be wrong. I know I installed mine and tried the mag and it did not work.... PK or someone sent me the link or the document....so stupid.....I thought I printed it out....but it's gone..
  9. A year or so ago someone sent me the link to modifying a mag catch to work on mil spec box magazines. It got deleted (DOH!) when someone (DOH!) was cleaning up his hard drive. Now I have the mag catch and a handfull of mags and don't know what I need to cut off the catch to make it work properly on my Kahr Semi. Thanks in advance... P.S. I looked in the FAQ, but it's not there..... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif
  10. From a "Thompson" point of view, "Windtalkers" and "Saving Private Ryan". From a pure WWII movie, got to love "Band of Brothers" , "Cross of Iron" (RIP James Coburn), Ryan . " Enemy at the Gates" and "The Big Red One". I liked "Kelly's Heroes" and "The Dirty Dozen", but realism was last on the list....
  11. QUOTE (junglewalk @ Feb 18 2004, 09:20 PM) Coz, you are doing good.. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif ....but email Kahr, tell them the extractor broke, then in awhile, the firing pin tip broke off, then in awhile, the screws for the rear sight broke off, & do this a few times before the year is up....In that way, you will have some spare parts for when the parts do break. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif for once the year is up, you will be an orphan in Kahr's eyes, no mommy, no daddy..............You'll get it running fine, soon......jw Yeah, I guess I'm doing fine... I haven't test fired it yet since the fluff and buff and it's been more than a year now.... So that's why I asked PK for suggestions..... I found a place today to lease to open as my premise for my FFL..so, I plan to be the only Thompson guy in Houston, TX within a few months...so, be prepared to see he online... I plan to apply for FFL and Class III, as my primary targets will be LEO's here in the fourth largest metro area in the U.S. Any Thompson smith's in southeast TX, please email me!
  12. I am living the Kahr Semi "nightmare". Extractor broke first day I shot it after about 175 rds. Replaced it. Now I get the bolt sticking back with rds in the magazine. Or the bolt won't go all the way forward to chamber the next round.... I even made the mistake of buying a 10 rd drum..... I've spent the last two nights fluffing and buffing surfaces in the rifle and the bolt to insure that it's not burrs causing some issues.....PK, any suggestions? But, all in all, I still love the damn thing and when I take it to the range, people always want to see it close up..... My bride got it for me, so I'll never get rid of it....... It's in my avatar...
  13. QUOTE (Supershooter @ Nov 4 2003, 05:15 PM) I picked up a 1927-A3 .22 semi-auto carbine that needs an extractor. Kahr doesn't list parts for this gun on its site and Numrich's site indicates that it is out of stock on this item. Is there another supplier? I find it interesting that the gun will run intermittantly without the extractor. Sarco may have them. Just be patient on the order.... I purchased three for a my Kahr .45 from Numrich last year....sorry... My semi .45 is still acting up....bolt stops going forward without fully pushing in the cartridge and sometimes stays open with rounds still in the magazine. I'll probably end up sending it to PK for a "tune up" as I can't find a smith in the Houston area that knows Tommys. Good luck
