T-Bone
Hi! Finally, after 20 years, have a 1927 on the way. I have a couple questions: 1. Is there a set of after market springs (like Wolff) that can be ordered and fitted to accomplish the EZ pull mod? What are the weights/diameters/lengths? Why don't they come from the factory with lighter springs? 2. I have heard that the threaded compensator can shoot loose. What is recommended to secure it? 3. Why did they leave the barrels at 16.5" then put on a 2" compensator? Couldn't they have permanently attached the compensator and kept the length to 16.5"? That is done on some ARs to make them legal. I know it doesn't match the SBR config, but it is closer. 4. I would like to pickup a spare 50-rnd drum. Recommendations? Kahr or after market? ThanksT
mnshooter
Wolff doesn't offer these springs; maybe if enough people besides me asked, they would start. The comp on current Kahr's is pressed on, not threaded. Loc Tite is their friend. The shorter barrel would look too good and everyone would want one.The chinese drums @$140.00 (from Keepshooting and others) seem to be working well. Joe H
T-Bone, Can't tell you why Kahr does or doesn't do anything but Green Mountain Barrels makes a 14+" barrel so that a cutts can be attached permanently and not be a SBR: http://www.gmrifleba...l.aspx?id=TMG-3 If you are concerned about the Compensator you can cross drill & pin like the originals.
