SBRs in Illinois

Just found this out. A wierdly worded law in Illinois will now allow those who hold a C&R license to get a SBR permit. The Illinois State Police confirmed this, so now I am debating on spending the $200 to make my Tommy into a SBR.

So far no one has manufactured an ATF approved Thompson arm brace; that should be possible, but not very likely for Kahr to produce one. Would also require a different kind of attachment, as the current pistol doesn't have any provision for mounting a stock -part of the requirement for the pistol model.
