Gunner945
My Reising M50 will fire single shots at times on the S.A. setting as it should but will also double or triple on the S.A. setting. Any suggestions on what can be causing this? Thanks,Bill
n64atlas
Are you shooting reloads or factory ammo?If factory, what brand?Have you stripped it down and fully cleaned it? Could be low power ammo or dirt.Or a worn sear.
Gunner945
Gun is clean, ammo is white box Winchester. I am a Reising novice but the trigger pull seems very stiff. Could it be the trigger spring is too strong?
n64atlas
I would try different ammo first. It might be short cycling
emmagee1917
Pull the gun out of the stock . With the gun on SA , see if the arm that has the hook on the end is close to the slide . They can get bent if you don't retract the slide a bit when going from FA to SA . This can cause it to snag the slide even when set to SA .Chris

If you don't retract the action bar slightly when moving the selector out of the FA position it bends the top of the selector mechanism and malfunctions occur. Retracting the action bar slightly releases the FA lever hook from action bar preventing damage to the selector.
