wolfie Posted June 11, 2016 Report Share Posted June 11, 2016 in an earlier thread I pictured an AO 1928-A1 original lend lease to Russia during ww2. before it was acquired I purchased an M1-A1 from the same source. it took 6 steps to render it non operable however its a beauty. Savage made. with the both specimens I have, papers from the arsenal were included. as always, its a shame that history has to be destroyed as the 2 I have with the others by demilling but, I am thrilled to have the real deal as representatives of the period. It is a lot better than the 3" chunk of the receiver tail that was sheared offan early M1 I have as a paperweight!!Mine is S/N 310694 .Just curios what # is yours.
