Annihilator
As there is much discussion about vertical grips, right at this moment,... Here a few pictures from my vertical grip It has seen some use and abuse One picture with short grip screw and one picture with long vertical grip screw regards Pierre
Joseph_T
Thats seriously nicely battle hardened, first one i see with marking placed (can we say horizontally?) to the bar channel. another detail in my studies differencing Savage from Colt, appears to be the hole depth and width, on all the Savage grips i have inspected, the screw hole appeared to be slightly wider and deeper compared to Colt grips (which can be seen on your grip aswell). Can anyone else confirm this? Edited July 17, 2017 by Joseph_T
huggytree
did a dog chew it? or maybe it has bashed in too many German heads during its time? none of those WW2 grips looked good..i can see why they chose the horizontal style eventually
richard w.
I like them when they show character. The one I had was similarly modified, but the swivel was on the right side. I see yours is on the left. I've never played with firing from the hip while having it slung. Is it a matter of one being better for lefties, or does it really not matter? http://www.fototime.com/9384AE274FC4608/xlarge.jpg
Adg105200
If you think about it, I would say that with the swivel on the right would be better for rightys. Andrew
richard w.
Maybe. The whole British carry method seems a little odd to me, though. I might fire from the hip in an extreme case of needing a snap shot, but if at all possible I'm going to shoulder the gun even if I'm not taking time to use the sights carefully. I can't hit the broad side of a barn from the hip.
huggytree
many of the swivels i see have been on both sides....most have holes on the opposite sides from when they were opposite....
