LSU Tiger
That's a really nice '21. I'm glad to see you're interested in furthering your knowledge and caring for your Thompson. So many people buy (fill in the blank firearm), shoot it, and never touch it again or clean it. Have a Happy Thompson 2020.
maxfaxdude
I'll be the dissenter and say that I shoot my 1921 Colt Thompson in it's original manufactured state. I do this with all of my machineguns from the Bren Mk 1 to the MG81Z. Do I do mag dumps -- no. Sometimes I worry about damaging the guns, but I'm actually more worried about injuring myself. If a vintage part breaks, I have many original replacement parts or I buy that part and have it fixed. Expensive -- yes, but I consider this part of the expense of have a functional machinegun library.
ppgcowboy
But with GI parts, or parts you do not fret about, you can do mag dumps, how fun is that.
