veektohr
Hi, I'm machining a new M1A1 bolt for a customer and was wondering if there were any drawings available. The general dimensions and ejector slot are fairly easy, but the extractor mount has me scratching my head. Not having an original in my hands at the moment, am I correct in assuming it slots in at the back. Generally how tight is that fit-up, and how deep does it sit in the bolt itself? Sorry for so many questions from a new member. Thanks for taking the time to read! V
reconbob
For the extractor you can use the M1928A1 drawing which is readily availableon the Internet. Bob
veektohr
Thank you very much. When you say readily available, do you mean they are on this site, or elsewhere on the internet? mattsta
You can download the entire firearm from Grabcad.com created by me from the original engineering drawings You can create an account for free and there's no charge for the files. They are free I uploaded the whole thing in STEP and IGES formats The CAD files are uploaded in the Rendering folder It's 330Mb file so might take a while to download Matt https://grabcad.com/library/m1928a1-thompson-sub-machine-gun-

deerslayer
I was just looking and they have a drawing for a 28 type receiver with a winged rear sight instead of the "L" shaped one. Anyone ever see a 28 with a winged sight?
