Grease Gunner
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/880362782 I looked at other C drums and the lettering was aligned differently. The real drums didnt have the logo What do you members think? $1900 for a drum worth $7000 Edited October 8, 2020 by Grease Gunner
DFisch
I dont think original C drums had the reinforcing ridges or ribs on the front and rear plates.
DFisch
Or the solid axis pin. It looks like the Numrich drum shown in the Box And Drum Magazine Guide on this forum. The pictures of C-drums in TUTB show neither the ribs nor the solid axis pin.

inertord
I still can’t believe the “Original” Taiwanese Reproduction Crosby Drum that sold for $1,500: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/877062613
TSMG28
Inertord nailed it. Definitely a West Hurley C-drum, and as he noted, without the retainer clip. Also agree on amazement about Taiwan drum sale on GB. And the drum is even dented. I wonder if the sale actually went through. For the buyers sake, I hope not. Grease Gunner
Here is a real C drum that Morphy is auctioning off on November 18that will show differences and NO Trademark https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/EXCEPTIONAL_ORIGINAL_MATCHING_NUMBERED_THOMPSON__C-LOT497566.aspx Edited October 8, 2020 by Grease Gunner
TSMG28
Doug, Yes, the West Hurley drums were "made" by Numrich Arms back in the 90's. The drums were actually manufactured by Elmsford Tool, & Die Company of Westcester, NY. Numrich is now again subcontracting the manufacture of C-drums, this time to Taiwan, and they are marked GPC (Gun Parts Corp.). Normally, when you see Thompson items referred to as West Hurley, they are talking about Numrich Arms of West Hurley, NY, during the 60's through 90's before they sold the Auto-Ordnance rights to Kahr Arms. DFisch
Makes sense so as to avoid the confusion with the newer Taiwan drums. Thanks for the clarification, I love learning the details! I did, in fact, buy my Taiwanese L-drum recently from the Numrich (Gun Parts) site. Thanks! d
