MRCTMG
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/918607895 I have a Bridgeport 1928A1 and have been looking for an oiler for it for awhile. Not trying to make it 100% historically correct or anything, just thinking it would be cool to actually have an oiler in that little compartment in the buttstock. Can anyone tell me if this is a real WWII oiler or a reproduction(and if so, will it fit in the buttstock compartment)? Looked in my copy American Thunder and it appears pretty close to the picture there, minus the felt ring around the cap. Thinking the felt may have fallen off if it is a real WWII era item. reconbob
Yes, that is a WW2 oiler. I have a bunch of these from DR. If you send me $5 for postage I will send you one. You can email me at Philaord@aol.com. Bob
MRCTMG
Thanks for the input! Appears the Gunbroker listing is substantially overpriced. Bob, email on the way....
TSMGguy
If your butt stock oiler felt pads are missing, you'll need two, IIRC. These are original, though kind of pricy: Original U.S. WWII Thompson SMG Butt Well Cushion – International Military Antiques (ima-usa.com)
AlexanderA
The M1 Thompson oiler will also work. https://www.sarcoinc.com/m1-thompson-oiler/
