wdkline
New forum member here from the St. Louis area. Kahr M1 semi auto that I built into an SBR. Have followed deerslayer's advice regarding GI mags and no more failures to feed. Thanks! The foregrip is "sprung" down a bit. Can't see a way to adjust this without pulling the foregrip mount and that looks like a daunting task. Any suggestions?
Got Uzi
You could put a barrel band on it. That should put some tension on the grip hanger and pull it up plus it looks bette with a barrel band
wdkline
That's a good idea. Thanks.
StrangeRanger
FWIW the barrel band is a GI part that was added to the M1/MA1 to compensate for the weak riveted grip hanger with which they had replaced the more expensive forged one. So adding one is not an incorrect modificartion
peter kohler
i have barrel bands on all my thompsons. you can get them from numrich. heres the deal they make them for semi thompsons and fa thompsons. theres a difference in size. mine have the original horizontal wood which is narrower , with the channel for the half inch grip rest. you can always modify the wood to fit
