john
Curious to find out where everyone else will be staying. Alice and I got a package deal on airfare, hotel and rental car from the Twin Cities to Phoenix. We'll be flying into phoenix on Wednesday December 1st and heading home on Monday December 6th. We'll be staying at the Holiday Inn (brand new one) at 1600 S. Country Club in Mesa. It's a bit away from the Fairgrounds but right next to the expressway so the trip in will only take a few minutes! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby also. AND we have a midsize car that I plan to upgrade to a larger size if there are others who will not be renting wheels.... We assembled a package ourselves around the Motel 6 where Murray and Gordon will be staying and put together our own airfare and car BUT couldn't even come close to the price we paid for this package, but hopefully we can coordinate dinners out as well as other activities....(Murray, I still owe you a Bourbon and I owe a few others a brew!!) So, where is everyone else staying?? john
TM76
We will also be staying at the Motel 6 , we stayed there last year and didn't have any problems. The trip there was so nice in Phoenix that were going to stay longer and see the other sights and cities in Arizona. ( also rent a Harley like we did last year ). marks
I've been thinking about going. Went in 2002 and had a real good time except the show was so big I actually got sore feet walking around. My fault for trying to see the place in one day. It was really cool seeing pretty much a whose who in the firearm industry there. If any of you haven't been before make sure you eat first because the food vendor(s) will gang rape your wallet leaving less $$ for gun related goodies. Had a pretty good chuckle to myself when I was at the USPS mailing my items home because TSA would have kittens if I tried to get through security. The enert pineapple grenade comes to mind... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif
