Brickyard
I took these the day we killed all the pumpkins (ref. Tommy board above). Both are about 1.5M each so it's not that bad to download. It's my ayf '43 Wilson tube gun re-worked by PK in Colorado. MP_stock MP_hip He's cutting a new bbl. for it and I should have it in a few weeks. Ugly gun but what a piece of history! Let me know what you think. Brickyard
Sure MP, I'll get a couple up over the weekend. I believe that day I only had 25 loaded per mag. Sometimes when I load and let 'em sit, I only go with 25 to help the spring live longer. But, point well made, need belt fed!
Charlie Foxtrot
Thanks Brickyard. I hope that the home that in visable in the background is yours, not some unsuspecting neighbors! Full auto fire from the backyard would certainly raise a few eyebrows. All the best!
Brickyard
CF: Neighbors in the county where we go shoot a couple of times a year. They're great! They do black powder a lot and really get a kick out of the NFA stuff. Good people. Need more of 'em.
mp40
Sir Brickyard, you mentioned that P.K. was cutting you a new barrel- was yours just worn out? and is P.K. re-lining the old barrel?
Brickyard
No, MP, PK is turning a new bbl. I'll send him my old, he'll turn new and install front sight assy. Mine's shot. Like blowing peas through a straw.... New will be 1/10 twist and will rule !!!! I'll get those pics posted in a couple of days. Behind the curve in many ways. mp40
Sir Brickyard, you are going to save the original barrel aren't you? and by the way why not reline it? that way the exterior is at least original looking. i do relise that the gun is just a "ugly gun" to you, but it still is a collection of WW2 german made parts in a pre-86 made tube so, therefore it is at least 97% "original" I am sure that P.K's barrel will be a work of gunsmith art, but unless he is going to engrave the "waffenampts" into the barrel....OK OK, I am being too correct about this but, untill i move into a class 3 friendly state like Idaho and can get one transfered to me, i must live some what vicariously. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif
Brickyard
2 or 3 pics I took over the weekend. mp40
Hi Sir Brickyard! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif thanks for the pictures! please don't tell me that it has paint on the lower! well, at least the end cap. it looks as if you have an Steyr grip frame and an Erma lower. wow, i wonder what other parts are on it! And I must admit it is a little appearance challenged! have you considered having it refinished? sorry for the critisism, but i wish i owned it! Again, thanks Brickyard! Brickyard
Mark: Thanks for the comments and “criticisms”. Appreciate them all. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif There is no paint on the lower, the gun is cool. It is a tube gun, therefore many parts are FUBAR. It’s the way of the world. Didn’t take much time to “prep” the pup prior to pics, it’s a union thing…. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif I like it, it’s up front in the safe and gets a regular “rogering”. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif I’ll post some other pics next time I clean it and get it looking better. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Take care, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif CJR
