Kevin,

I have had one for 3 years and they are alot of fun... heavy and pretty accurate. The semi gives you a real sense of how the full auto feels...without the NFA hassles. I also have a WWII vintage BAR, so I can compare first hand...Ohio Ord. does a superb job with the semi...so don`t hesitate if you get the chance to owne one...my .02,out. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

I put my order in a few weeks ago and it should be delivered in May.

Here is the info I got from a very good source.

Everything on the Semi-auto (except the receiver of course) is supposed to be 100% original.

Most of the parts are from original BARs located overseas. Since it is illegal to import, everything but the receiver was brought back in and now used in these semi-auto version. Once these parts run out, so will the production of this rifle.

JimFromFL,...I`ve had an OO BAR for 3yrs. and yes they are built with gennie parts,I also have a NESA and a Marlin-Rockwell to compare the OO semi with. The fit and finish and function is superb,Bob Landies gives you a product that is well worth your investment,Good luck on your wait, they usually deliver when promised. If you have it by July 4,give me a post and we maybe can meet at our club mg shoot and compare BARs.out. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

JimFromFL,... The range is the Hernando Sportsman club, located just south of Crystal River-Homosassa Springs area off of US19,right in the middle of the Chassahowitska Wildlife Management Area...80 acres of gun ranges,skeet,trap,5 stand,25,50,100 and 200yd ranges...and NFA accomodating. We have 3 planned MG shoots every year,July4,Labor Day weekend, and the last weekend in Feb is WWII Reanactment, military vehicle show and big shoot, tracked vehicles, mounted mini guns, cannons, 50s, 30s,etc.We bring out several cars and trucks and smaller targets to keep the 200 shooters busy. But you don`t have to wait for a planned event,...I take my NFA for a spin anytime I can get up there...just bring the paperwork to satify the R.O.s, hope to see you there sometime, out. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

Actually, I was there for the Feb shoot as a spectator and am planning on attending again with my son on July 4th, but this time will pay to be on the line. Even if I don't shoot, just being able to get better video of the firearms in action would be worth it. When it gets closer, I will try to remember to contact you and we can meet up.
