Ebay - Leather 'l' Drum Pouch?

Does anyone have any knowledge of this Bat & S. Co. leather pouch? Is it for the 'L' drum or something else entirely?

That pouch is not a TSMG drum pouch. I went through the same thing about 8 years ago. I was all excited until I found one that was dated 1918. I did some research and found out it is some kind of land survey instrument pouch. It does fit an L drum with some "stuffing" but it just ain't for this drum or any other drum for that matter. That leather pouch is NOT manufactured or intended for a firearm accessory.

If I remember, this is for the Lewis gun drums. A "L" drum will fit with a little force.

some had markings rock island arsenal.wow after the thompson museum thing.................now even phoney thompson stuff,will bring big buck's............
