philasteen
I have 6607, not that that's relevant other than it's one digit off.
dalbert
Michael, #6667 is not the Dillinger gun, but it is listed along with it in the history section in Gordon's book for the Porter Cty. Sheriff's Dept. in Valparaiso, Indiana. (Dillinger gun is #7387, returned to dept. in 2001.) David
Arthur Fliegenheimer
Dalbert, Correction. It is #6444 GH has as the Dillinger Colt TSMG. But that doesn't let GH off the hook for the conflicting info on other serial numbers. Why he refers the reader of serial #6667 to go to the Dillinger section does encourage confusion though. dalbert
Arthur, Is #6667 listed in your edition of Gordon's book as a Dillinger gun? My 4th edition has it listed next to the Dillinger gun (#7387) under the PD header, but makes no reference to it being involved with Dillinger.
