Oldtrooper
I managed to pick up another model 8 Remington in 35 Remington caliber ... 1911 manufacture ... In tremendous shape for a 107 year old rifle ... Functions flawlessly and is dead-on accurate... Much nicer than my other model 8 which is a 1927 manufacture ... The old gentleman I bought it from said that the last time it was in the field was when his dad used it for bear and deer hunting back in the 30's Edited November 13, 2018 by Oldtrooper

dalbert
Very nice Model 8. Mine was made in 1926, IIRC, and is not as nice as yours, but it shoots well. Thanks for posting! David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com

Oldtrooper
Report ... One shot from this model 8 took down a 175 pound (dressed) 8 point buck at 110 yards... Dropped him in his tracks.
