Chopper28
Can't wait to get there. Have never been and am really looking forward to it. How much ammo should I bring?
TOMMY SMG
Chopper28, I'd bring as much as you can fit in the back of your truck (the http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif Deuce-&-Half), just in case the rest of us run short http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif !!!! (Just http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif kidding) This will be my first year also (I can't wait to see you guys http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif in person), so that's a good question, 500, 1,000, 1,500 rounds or more http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif ? And are you aloud to bring more then one Tommy Gun with you or isn't that necessary? Do you need 20 round sticks, 30 round sticks, 50 round drums or 100 round drums? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif What-the-hell,-- Chopper, if you'll stop by here on the way over, I'll just throw the dam safe in the back of your "Deuce-&-Half". (Wouldn't wanta forget anything!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif !!!!.......) full auto 45
Take it all! That's what I do. I took about 1500 rounds last year but didn't need it all. Take all the Thompson's you have. The display time is the best time. I'll see you there.
JimFromFL
I can't make it this year due to school (and the new house). I usually send 500 rounds ahead of time and this gets me by. If you plan on shooting only for the first match then probably 200 rounds would be fine. If you plan on shooting in both matches then the 500 will get you through. If you plan on shooting in both matches and get elminated quickly in the 2nd then 300 rounds would be enough. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif If you skip the 2nd match and opt to just blast away at the range then more or less ammo will do. Just depends on much shooting you do at the open range.
Walter63a
JimFromFL, what are you going to school for, if I can be so bold? I, too, can't make it this year. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif I hope to be there next year. I would like to make it to 'The Creek' this year. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Maybe I'll see some of you there. Ron Mills
I too can't go (again); but by all means take whatever you have, like the man says. The displays are fantastic! Tracie's display area is very well thought out, and he is a very gracious host. Everyone will get the chance to "compare notes", etc. So, pop a few rounds...cartridges that is...for me, boys! JimFromFL
QUOTE (Walter63a @ Jul 24 2003, 09:57 AM) JimFromFL, what are you going to school for... It is a new accelerated Masters program being offered on-line. Each class is 5 weeks long which gives almost no free time.

billie32
Why not, since I've seen some mention of a Duece and a half, I have a 1951 RIO 6x6 10 wheel drive I'd be willing to part with. It's in Nassau County on Long Island in NY. Just about running condition (drove it to its current location next to our shop, will probably start right up with a new battery). Not a looker, but that problem is easily solved. Even has the really big strong winch on the front and a setup for a plow although there is no plow with it. Would be willing to trade for Thompson Accessories or sell outright for cash (or check or money order same thing really). Have all necesarry paperwork althoug it is not currently registered. Looking to get $2,250 for it (negotiable). As I said, would be willing to trade for Thompson Accessories. Perfect for hauling all that ammunition and those heavy belt fed guns to the creek or wherever else you may want to bring them. Would be able to help with transportation of vehicle.
