Speeddemon02
My rear sight piece came off the ladder and disappeared on me. Does anyone have a spare or know where to get a WWII era one? My savage was missing one when I first picked it up and the place I order it online no longer has any in stock.
Speeddemon02
It seems the stock pile of rear sights has now gone dry. Does anyone have any replacement ideas? I can get a hold of a complete lyman sight, but would either have to remove the original or potential damage the loose one and not very comfortable with this option, but seems to be the only one I have. Merry Ploughboy
I've occasionally seen Thompson Lyman rear ladder sight parts on eBay. Some are in European countries. Good luck.
Banjo
If you go to the Numrich sight www.gunpartscorp.com and you look under 1921 not 1928 I believe they still have the part for about $60.00; rear sight elevation slide assembly they call it. Good luck
buzz
You might end up buying a whole sight. Numrich sent me that same part and it was rusty. They said it was the very last one they had.

Banjo
I have to say with the flood of Russian parts I started feeling like spare parts would never dry up but things that once were plentiful do seem to be disappearing.
TSMGguy
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-WWII-Thompson-Adjustable-Rear-Sight-Proofed-Lyman-1928-/152019514596?hash=item236511b4e4:g:L2YAAOSwr7ZW61ag Granted this is kind of expensive, but not outrageously so, and it's in nice shape. You would have spare parts for the entire sight assembly.

richard w.
I know lots of guys post about getting beautiful parts from Omega Don but most of the stuff I've received has been in very well-used condition. Not Sarco bad, but zero finish hasn't been unusual. And this after speaking on the phone with him and being assured that the parts are in "great" shape. YMMV.
