I attempted to send an email but firearm@verizon.net is not a valid address. Gregg

Mauser Matt, where were you? I was at Camp Phoenix in downtown Kabul 11-12. I also spent a lot of time at Bagram. BRMCII - the craftsman at Kyber pass made some pretty amazing stuff without modern machines. They could literally pound horshoes and pig iron into aks and fight us with them the next day. We had a Bazar at our fob and I had to go with my guys to make sure the souvenir muskets and rifles they were buying were the real thing. There were a lot of P53 enfields, Snyders and martini henrys and for every real one, 5 fakes. They were very very close. Gregg

My new M1A1 SBR
gregg877 replied to regalgseguy's topic in Thompson Semi-Auto Discussion Forum (West Hurley & Kahr Semis)
Thats a great looking rig youve got there. One thing I never understood about the semi auto M1s is why both numnich and kahr omitted the radius on the long parts of the top of the receiver. Its ascetically ugly and on top of that Kahr leaves them relatively sharp. I have been tempted to set mine up in my bridgeport and fix it, but havent gotten around to it yet. Here is a picture of mine. -
I called last week and got one of the nicer folks, was told 8 months average, waiting on 2 form 4s that were sent in mid/late march and pending since April 12th. I guess Eforms isnt doing too much better, someone on NFA Tracker recently posted a 122 day wait on a home built .22 suppressor. A year ago I did a form1 in Eforms and had it back in 28 days.

Wts Savage 1928A1 stripped lower, Dulite finish from S/N 93,202. This has been machined to fit semi autos and is ready to go. A denial block or spacer will be needed to keep your semi auto parts in the right orientation, at Deerslayers recommendation Id used a short stack of washers and it worked fine. $520 shipped. I also have a near complete 1928A1 stock(original) missing the sling swivel, has a complete Sarco stock latch set and an original butt plate for $200 and an original M marked 1928A1 pistol grip for $45. Pictures of the stock and grip to follow. Buy all three as a package deal for $750 shipped. Thanks, Gregg

I have 4 patent date 20 rounders that are in like new condition, but Im keeping those for myself. I havent seen any for sale for a very very long time. I am however looking at parts that Im going to put up here for sale, including a savage marked 1928A1 lower that has been machined for semi autos and a stock set complete. Stay tuned.

Anticus, Ive also done two on form 1s including this one. There is still a considerable savings vs buying one new at retail. Heres the breakdown: Base cost - $1300 Nfa tax -$200 10 barrel - $150 Original cutts compensator - $75 Machine/fabricate new charging handle - $50 Machine lower for detachable stock - $100 Modify mag catch for original magazines - NC Original lyman sight - $275 Complete original stock -$225 Original pistol grip - $45 2 x original unaltered 20rnd magazines - $150 1 x original unaltered 30 round magazine $50 1 x brand new Kahr 50rnd drum $250 1 x used Numerich 50 round drum $150 Repro FBI case - $275 $3295 invested and its done, $3200 and Im paying the first of a 2-tax transfer. I could return it to completely stock (minus the sbr) and sell everything off separately. Id hate to do that where this one is done, but it is what it is I suppose.

Mystery 1928 vertical grip

Ill post some pictures once I have it. My 28A1 is late production and I know its not correct, but I do enjoy shooting them with a vertical vs horizontal grip. -
Mystery 1928 vertical grip

That is way cool and makes me feel even better about the purchase, thank you very much! Gregg -
Sooooo 641 views, and not a single comment, offer, question etc. brand new Kahr SBRs which seem to be an inferior product are approximately $2400 new plus fees, seeing some of the money people have spent on original parts/accessories to bring their guns up to where this one is, I thought this was priced about right. Suggestions? Id like to see this go to a good home and get enjoyed. Gregg

Good morning! So I just bought a vertical grip for my 1928A1, which Im pretty excited about, but its marked Sile on the top front. Any thoughts? Looks correct, but figured Id ask those in the know. I dont have it in my hands yet but should soon. Thanks, Gregg

Late 90s 1927A1 SBR, lower machined for the detachable stock, correct round profile charging knob, original lyman sight, original cutts compensator, paddle safety, 10 inch finned/threaded barrel, original stock and pistol grip, repro vertical fore grip with sling swivel, repro fbi case, includes 2x 50 round drums(third hand tool included), 2x 20 round sticks and 1x 30 round stick. Mag catch has been modified to accept unaltered original magazines. Was a reenactor gun with hundreds of blanks and maybe 2-300 live rounds fired. This was originally a T1C commando with parkerized finish and was antiqued to make it look original. Gun runs and looks great. Bought an original 1928A1 and its time for someone else to enjoy this. Asking $3200, ftf on a Form4 in NH or two tax if out of state, Ill pay the first tax, all other dealer fees and shipping will be on the buyer. Additional pics and info on request. Thanks, Gregg

I put in my form 4 for my 1928A1 back in November and got back in May, so approximately 6ish months (time doesnt start until they cash the check). A little disappointing since just before that I had 2 suppressors go through in 4. People regularly report in at NFA tracker here https://www.nfatracker.com which Im still dubious about. As previously mentioned you can call in to the NFA, and some of the folks you talk to are nice but there are a couple that are not so much. I have 2 form 4s that have been pending since April 12th and based on my last call in probably wont see them until Nov/Dec. Sorry to add to the bad news. Gregg
