Would a mint condition auto burglar parts kit have much value?
-
Sent in a form 1 for rewat and a form 4 transfer both on Feb. 20 th of 2017. Same envelope. Got a few phone calls and emails on both guns same inspector was doing both, answered all questions on both same day. Stamp for the rewat arrived 12/23. Eamailed and asked if they needed anything else on the transfer and received a thanks for your patience email today? What makes a 5 week difference?

I have seen rifles loaded accidentally with fast burning rifle powder detonate in the chamber and blow the gun. I have seen a revolver with such a light sprinkling of powder in the case detonate as well. No pressure curve just one spike because the powders burn rate never happened. Again these blow up the whole gun. I once saw a guy shooting away no powder just primers and filled up a whole barrel of a 4 inch 38 before the last round backed up between the forcing cone and cylinder jAmming it. I'm betting a squib backed up by a live round. If the Thompson had a lot of rounds thru it the primer alone may hAve pushed the bullet close to the muzzle.although I doubt primers would operate the bolt.

That's not an original tube. Just a blAnk serial numbered to the lower. I think it's a decent buy looking at today's prices. My originals have 4-6 Wafs and codes stamped on the tube some have a year date code on the bottom between the barrel nut and sling ring

What is the mAker on the GG mag? -
I can that is no problem.......the problem is the tube has some other guns serial number. The end cap has my guns serial number. Hence the search for the blAnk tube that's less obnoxious then a wrong serial number.
-
I've got one.... that's not a problem that's why I want non Numbered tube because I have the correct numbered tube end cap and firing pin. And I hate seeing that one not matching number.
-
It's a model shop hybrid prototype, it was painted black to disguise it. Once we removed the black paint it was discovered it had never even made it to being serial numbered due to the war ending. We found it in a time capsule just before we imploded the building. We ran immediately to have it serial numbered then went next door and amnesty registered it on the last day.......buy it now 50K. Thank me later

They somehow lost the recoil tube after they pulled it down to weld the chamber. I have a end cap with firing pin.they are still looking for it.
-
The family had it on a farm, uncle sent it home, dad amnesty registered it (also put a small weld in the chamber) but the kids were now in their 60/70s. They hid it in a old chest freezer and could not remember if it was registered.

Not sure I have seen a few around well worn, maybe armorer replacement parts? My end cap is serialized to my gun the tube is not. Drives my nuts. -
Looking for a unmarked recoil tube. No serial numbers or WAA. Or a 37 waf. With no serial number. Ok if end cap is stamped. Will buy the tube or whole assay. Thanks.

You know how I'm always praising the M1A1 ?
Junkhunter replied to buzz's topic in Thompson Submachine Gun Message Board
The scariest part is someone did get it to 37K unless it's a fake bidder. -

I have my used replacement WW2 German barrel assembly ready to go. How tight to torque the nut down? More then the finger tight my old barrel Was? Any pitfalls to watch out for?

OOW restored my Thompson. They have a labor rate they follow. Good news they came in under budget and adjusted my bill down. Bad news is it took 4 months. Bad news the gun came apart. Good news was they owned it, apologized and repaired it. You'll pay for it but it will be right. Impressive facility.
