  1. Yep, it is a BB gun http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif But it is made of wood and metal though http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  2. I found a MP44 Model gun on the UN Company web site. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.uncompany.com/images/shoei-mp44_big.jpg Its a little pricey at $1190.00 but it would be a nice addition to your collection mp40. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif You can find it on their website: http://www.uncompany.com/ Just do a search for MP44. Later, Jerry
  3. Hawk, Yeah, it was quite surprising to see his collection there, it's not usually that kind of show. He had a MP40, MP43, Sten MK II, ZB26, Type 99, and another MG I did not recognize (it had a horizontal drum, but it wasn't a 180). He was very friendly and let people hold the weapons, I held the MP43 for the longest time (I didn't want to put it down), and he even let my son, who is only 7, hold the MP40. He was very talkative and chatted with us and many other people for quite a long time. It was definitely the highlight of the week for both my son and I. I told him about about the forum, which he did not seem to know about. With similar guns, and with your timing joining the boards, I thought you might have been him, sorry about that. Thanks for sharing the pictures, you have a great collection. Take care, Jerry
  4. Hawk, You wouldn't happen to be the very nice gentleman who brought some of your fine collection to the gun show at Birch Run a few week ago, would you? Thanks, Jerry
  5. Bill, That truly has to be one of the best short summaries of the C&R I have seen ! Well Done ! I would like to add that you would still need a CLEO sign off for the NFA transfer, regardless of whether you have a C&R (unless you incorporate). Also, for some states, like Michigan http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif , you need a FFL (01-Dealer, 03-C&R) to even own a NFA weapon.
  6. That sure looks alot like a Russian SVT40 over her right shoulder ?!?
  7. QUOTE (czech @ Nov 15 2003, 09:59 PM)To all, Interord mp-40 kits never arrived.I got a dear john letter 11/-3/-3 czech. Did they give a reason for the cancellation ?
  8. jw, Having a wife that is into firearms is truly wonderful. You are very fortunate to have such a wife. Several of my friends wives cannot stand their firearms collections, or firearms in general. I am also fortunate enough to have a wife that is very supportive of my hobby, thank God. She insisted that she take my CCW class with me, she insisted that I give her my SIG 226 (a least I got a new SIG 220 out of the deal http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif ), and her favorite rifle is my semi-auto Thompson. Those of us lucky enough to have understanding wives, have a lot to be grateful for. Take care, Jerry
  9. Thanks mp40, I should get on the keyboard more as I go through the posts. I think Nick should add a “Lurker” and “Long Time Lurker” to the categories for folks like myself who have been members a very long time but don't post much. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Take Care, Jerry
  10. QUOTE (mp40 @ Dec 8 2003, 08:46 PM)I really don't see why it would be a bad thing to include the mp44, after all, it is an awesome firearm! it would probably be #2 on my acquire list, if i where in a free state......As for the amount of posting/activity in this board, i always wonder why are so many people viewing these pages, but so few people posting what's up with that? Also, seeing that i am on the "left coast" (Washington state) i am usually at work when every one is posting here.... I can only speak for myself. I view these pages often, and I find them very informative and interesting, but I do not post much since I do not own a real MP40 (only a Marushin), and I'm afraid I don't have much to contribute. I love the MP/STG 44 and would like to read about them on this site as well. Speaking of the MP44, it seems to me that it would be the perfect candidate for a semi-auto replica. It could be produced in a semi-auto configuration that could match the original exterior form exactly. Considering it only has a detachable mag and a pistol grip, it would also pass muster with the existing AWB ban. The barrel may need to be lengthened a bit, but it would work out much better then a 16” barrel on an MP40. IMHO. I would gladly pay upwards of $1500-$2000 for a semi-auto MP44 to add to my collection. Jerry
