  1. Also found out the Madsen Mark 4 was sold here in the states in 1970 for $350. by Interarmsco. What a deal. Mine is imported from El Salvador after service for 46 years in the jungle, by a Nevada Import co and is a nice complete parts kit. If you want one call Walter at: 702-564-0948 SLLIC co.
  2. Apariently, The co.:Dansk Industri Syndikat that made the Madsen gun have changed co's over the years at least three times since 1960. The new or suviving co is called Disa. They have a branch office in Oswego, Illinois. But they told me to try the main co. in Denmark. I will try this week and see what we can come up with!...I will be glad to share what I may get from them. Maybe a good drawing and a manual on the mark4 LMG Madsen Saetter gun!
  3. Anybody know where to get Madsen Saetter LMG info? A drawing or history or pictures? I've done some searches on the internet but always come up empty. The only thing I know is there 30:06 and used in south america to fight garilas there. It was supplyed by are CIA and made by a danish firm outsorsed to Indo china co. Would the present company have info? I know there still around making mounts or scopes. Anybody have an address or a parts kit like I do....Wondering what you can come up with!...

  5. I can't find reference to repo Thompson drums, so I thought I'd ask: Are the new made Crosby drums {repo} for sale on the marker for around $200. good functioning out of the box? How about Auto Ordnance drums? Would like a decent functional repo drum L for not too much money invested. One that won't take too much tweeking also...Slowfinger

  9. I have three MP44s and they all run fine with Coles Privi Partizen ammo! Just clean the rifle completely when you get home....George-Slowfinger

  12. The Kit I bought from an Ill. co is almost brand new! The wood has a redish coloring to it. The bore is crisp and just jumps out at you. This will make a great display until a semi auto could be made of it.   13. I just bought a 1928A1 parts kit. It looks to be brand new except the funny thing is the buttstock plate is painted flat black! Is this Russian origin? And those were originaly Blue? Help here with original info please...Thanks.....Slowfinger

  15. Will the Thompson Parts kit with cut reciever can just be pieced together enough to assemble still with reciever cuts in it, only as a display gun for like over the fireplace? Or would it fall apart and not stay together? Wondering for a future purchase......Slowfinger
  16. Billatlanta, Is it possible to build a semi out of some of the original reciever parts? I was thinking of a reduced dia. installed in old parts the go from there? Something on the order of a yugo m56 tube semi with a striker using orig. fire controll group. Full floating firing pin through the bolt. What do you think?...Slowfinger

  18. Smoker, Try Numrich gun parts, Angola Armory, and Interordnance for MG42 bolts for sale. Hope this helps.   19. Anybody have aproval ATF papers for the semi? And do they take a drawing instead of the acual gun for aproval? Anyone go this route......Slowfinger
  20. 21smoker, good luck at the range. Are you going to use a gun cradle to test fire for the first time? Don't want to loose any fingers or anything else. My 42 is a semi modeled after the BRP semi. It has it's problem but it has been alota fun the whole time! I expect these to gradualy go up in price over the comming yrs....Slowfinger
  21. What should I look for? the mg42 will not strip cartriges and the stripper nose looks ok and everything is in 8mm configuration, semi that is.   22. Is there any easy way to tell before instaling in the gun the barrel/bolt. For a proper fit as not to lock together too tight that you would need a man and a apprentice to pull back on the release lever?   24. Hi Guys, anyone building a semi 42 out there....Brian has semi bolts for $150. each exchange for your old one. These are very nice and ready to go. I'm supprised there is only one spring on the firing pin. Looks like he has a new casting for the bolt body. Don't remember the old ones looking like the new ones. Yes he has grips{modified of course} for $250. exchange! Makes building these rifles a breeze!   25. Hey Babyface, How about Sturmgewehr book thats collectorgrade book. I realy learned alot from it any is fairly illustrated with great shots and prints too.
