Buster
Very good suggestion: The survey could be of value for gun ownership and congress. Later
Earle
This survey showed up in my inbox at work this morning from a completely different source. I went ahead and submitted it, from the way the questions are slanted, they don't expect very many pro Second responders. We should try to get this to as many of us as possible. Nip another slanted survey in the bud! Regards, Earle
Hurridale
I completed it, though more to just sound off than to think this survey has any merit. 'Wouldn't be surprised if I start getting spammed by groups sympathetic to my responses. The fact is that such surveys have NO scientific value because they can be tweaked by special interest groups. People on every side of an issue realize that, and don't take such non-controlled surveys seriously. I also wouldn't be surprised if this "survey" is really checking the effectiveness of the grassroots distribution networks of special interest groups (like us, and like the anti-gunners). They may well be comparing how "wired" these groups are. If it is what it really claims to be, it's not going to produce credibility results, however it turns out. There's no way it's a "random sampling" -- the fundamental cornerstone of statistcal sampling. The only folks who take these seriously are people who want to sell you something. Still, I filled it out. I let you know if I start getting spam.
Buster
After reviewing the responses, which all have merit. I do agree the way the questions are made were slanted they are "looking" for a Political Correct survey. As this survey is no way a fair survey to those that support the Second Amendment. However, we might keep in mind that whatever the results are or (fixed or not), we might consider using their device, if anything to make a point. You might considering using a secondary email such as yahoo or hot mail for the spammers. Just a thought. Take care
Bruce V 21/28
Guys....I thought long and hard before makeing the post. I am of the opnion that we, on the pro Second Amendment side, MUST BE PROACTIVE! You don't win battles by being defensive. I'll put up with spam or anything elese "they" want to send if I have a chance (even if it might be small) to do something positive for our gun rights. I did notice that they were keeping records of the reply addresses hopefully to keep people and groups from "voteing" twice. I hope you and your pro gun friends will respond to this survey, at least "they" will know that we are here. Who know's it might make a diference. john
I did it yesterday. Don't forget to add appropriate comments to lend to a "middle of the fence" appearance (ya don't want to sound like a "gun-nut") and add your e-mail so they can send you a link to the results. Interesting, albeit quite slanted toward the liberal.... john

Earle
I wouldn't be surprised if the group who initiated the survey pulled it because the were getting too many pro bill of rights responders! Earle
Walter63a
Earle, that was my thought also.
