dalbert
I was just reading through the November 2011 issue of American Rifleman Magazine, and noticed there is a short summary of the M1 Thompson on page 39. It mentions that on Wednesday, 10/26/11, in the "I Have This Old Gun" segment of American Rifleman TV, that the M1 Thompson Submachine Gun will be featured. I'm setting my DVR... I also just noticed in the same segment of the show on November 2nd, it will feature the MG-42 Machine Gun... Roland, Headless Thompson Gunner
I suspect it will be posted here before too long. http://www.americanrifleman.org/Video.aspx?cid=23&vid=3681
mnshooter
Just watched today's show. Exactly as described in post #3, they continued to compensate for the severe lack of 1911 articles in most gun publications. Nothing Thompson. dalbert
I guess they listed the wrong date and time in American Rifleman magazine for the M1 Thompson feature on American Rifleman TV. Hopefully it will show up at the library link that Roland, Headless Thompson Gunner posted. I was in El Paso last week, and just got home to Ohio yesterday and watched the recording, and as someone else mentioned, the "This Old Gun" feature covered the Winchester Model 12. dalbert
Were you in town for the air show, or did you find some "hidden treasure" in the dwindling desert sand?Doug winbar, I was in town for work. I went back to Ohio for 36 hours, and now I'm back in El Paso again through the weekend. I'm hoping to maybe get out for a couple of hours to shop for some new boots...
