The $100 bill is a "Federal Reserve Note". Were it contemporary with the TSMG it would be a "Gold Certificate".

These gold certificates were issued until 1934 when gold was discontinued as currency in the U.S.

 

I'm not saying the $100 bill in the display isn't "original". I assume it is genuine. It's just not contemporary with the other items and would date later.

Beautiful 6835! The $100 reserve note is Series 1934. It's real. Actually the gold piece is a copy. I found it amongst my dad's belongings after he passed and thought it would look neat in the display. somebody told me it was oversized, so I pulled it from the display. I sold off my real gold when it was $1600-1900 per oz. When it goes back to $1000 maybe I'll buy a real one.
