Were it contemporary with the TSMG it would be a "Gold Certificate". http://www.the-privateer.com/coins/100-gold.jpg These gold certificates were issued until 1934 when gold was discontinued as currency in the U.S. I'm not saying the $100 bill in the display isn't "original". I found it amongst my dad's belongings after he passed and thought it would look neat in the display. somebody told me it was oversized, so I pulled it from the display.
