huggytree
spent all day messing with dissembly. Couldnt get the op rod off. Gun is new and. Nutty tight . I dissembled all the FA selector parts. Not sure I needed to?? Finally the op. Rod popped off. Got it back together and used all the parts,so I probably got it together correctly. Frenchkat
Are you paying by the word? You ask for help, but you provide very little real info? How about a clearer description. Maybe a pic or two. Should dissemble same as an M1 Garand. Do a little internet search and you’ll find lots on vids and tutorials on the process. What type BM do you have, who was it built by? Nutty tight? What the hell does that mean?
huggytree
Springfield bm59 paratrooper Its new and everything is stiff and tight. I couldnt figure out how to remove the oprod. I own a m1 garand. Rod comes right off. On the bm59 nope. After 100 attempts it finally came out I had removed all the FA parts. Did I need to?? There is no FA dissemble videos on line. No Manual with dissembly instructions
deerslayer
I have to ask why you are taking it apart instead of just shooting it...
huggytree
Shot it a couple hundred rounds. Its got light oil from storage but no grease. I dissembled #1 to learn how. And #2 to grease it like I would a m1 garand. Gun was unfired or fired very little when I got it. In storage for 30 years. Figured it was smart to clean and lube Edited March 1, 2020 by huggytree
Speeddemon02
I got a never fired Beretta M1 in 7.62 NATO, it was extremely tight and needed to be lubbed/oiled just a bit to get the stock off. Fit to the extreme. With that in mind each step got easier, but still needed the same type of attention and was not quick or parts falling off on their like it had been a bunch of times prior.
