I dabble in woodworking but Jon has some serious woodworking skills that I can only dream about. I prefer quarter sawn white oak and he was able to source some really nice wood for this project. The medullary ray figure in QS oak is a thing of beauty in my eyes and reminds me of how many wood products looked in the days.
