WW2 Disney patch that was not adopted

Recommended Posts

There are many WW2 patches that feature a TSMG.  I found a design that includes a black and tan smooth standard dachshund that is pointing a TSMG in the air.  I could only find one photo of the graphic.  Since my wife and I have shared a home with doxies for decades, I had an artist in England who paints military patches produce a reproduction on leather.

In a book (I don't know the title) that provided illustrations of Disney WW2 art, this was found, which I discovered on Internet.  I contacted military patch experts and none had ever seen it before, except in the book.  An artist who reproduces leather WW2 patches made me one based on the book photo.

Those are very coll illustrations of Disney WWII art...long ways off from what Disney represents today unfortunately.  Our niece has an embroidery business and can design/make military unit patches and sends them all over the world, she'll get a kick out of seeing this Disney stuff.
