He has removed the collar and outer feed lips that gives the top of the PPSh mag most of its rigidity. The inner feed lips alone will deform and pretty quickly. The real question is WHY?????? Clearly someone had some extra time on their hands... I don't think the lister did this, it seems to be that he "had" them in a box somewhere.
