MK2 mag well plunger very stiff

The plunger on the magwell is so stiff I have to use two hands to pull it down so the magwell will rotate. Also a pain when removing the barrel nut.

Any simple remedies ? Thanks

Mine ain't a whole lot better.  They're intended to be very stiff to make certain that the housing doesn't rotate in the midst of a firefight

is this an all original C&R gun or a tube gun ? makes all the difference in the world,  dims on parts vary,, dont forget the mag housings where you have to hand fit mags to work,, your plunger could be polished down to fit easier or the plunger hole reamed out,,just sayn

It’s a tube gun. I’m not averse to a little polishing, this is my first MG and do not want to do anything stupid.

there are so many sten parts around on the market, try another plunger, no big deal,, also the spring that holds the barrel collar ratchet tight might need replaceing, just sayn
