student1979
Is the frame (lower part) of the Thompson M1A1 supposed to be numbered or unnumbered?
gijive
Some were, some weren't. That practice was discontinued on the M1 series of guns sometime after 1943, I believe.
full auto 45
I saw several M1 kts at the Louisville show today. All were early guns sent to Russia. And all the lowers were numbered. There were about a dozen M1 kits and a couple 1928 kits I saw.
Ron Mills
Mike: What were prices on the kits? Were they all beat up?
DINO212
If you are looking for nice kits try IMA. I ordered an M1A1 kit, received an unissued unfired kit. Looking at that brand new receiver chunk perfectly sawed off could make you cry. M1A1's $495, M1's $499.
full auto 45
Prices at the show were $450 for the M1 kits and $950 for the 1928 kits, but the '28 kits were sold before I got to them. The kits I did see looked brand spanking new! Very nice bluing on them. If you wanted a dummy upper, it was $650. Some had eared sites and some had no ear sites.
