Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized. The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles." —Jeff Cooper, The Art of the Rifle About Colonel Cooper: http://users2.ev1.net/~mkreynolds/jeff/aboutjff.html http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/hail.gif Gunsite: http://www.gunsite.com/about.htm

Z3BigDaddy
Damn! He was a pretty loud opiniated cool guy.... Only met him once face to face, at a NRA national convention in Seattle WA.... It was about the time Neal Knox had everything stirred up, with good reason, and he seemed like a really go get em kind of guy.... I didn't subscribe to all his teachings gun wise.... But I think he was a real friend to American gun owners.....
Arthur Fliegenheimer
Not sure why he abandoned the 1911 in favor of signing on with Dornaus and Dixon to promote the Bren Ten, which I have, but without him, they would not have gotten to first base. Bisley45
http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/nutkick.gif Damn, I liked him. Didn't always agree with his opinion but he was a good guy. We need more like Mr. Cooper and less like Clinton and her husband. BB
