Hawkeye_Joe
WTS: Ohio Ordnance 1918 slr $6500. Posted By: Jake in watervalley alabama (12.184.17.14) Date: 4/2/08 14:11 This is the blued version of the 1918 slr semi auto called the doughboy. New in box, unfired, all accessories-leather sling, flashider, two blued mags, manual, thread protector. This rifle is built with a 1919 Marlin parts set. THIS IS NOT THE 1918A3. THIS IS NOT THE PARKERIZED VERSION. The blued version of the BAR can be seen in at least two movies-Sands of Iwo Jima-carried by "the greek" on Tarawa and in The Sand Pebbles carried by Steve McQeen at the boom blocade and at the end of the movie during his death scene. Ohio Ordnance has discontinued building this rifle but still builds the 1918a3. $6500. firm 251 843 3168 Jake
