765 21D
Hi all, This deactivated Savage made 1928 A1 with Tommy Gun stamping has a side mounted sling swivel and it is not something I have seen on any lend lease British used Thompson before. It would have been interesting to look at this gun in person to see who made the butt. D
emmagee1917
I'm not up on these , being into USGI , but did not the " real" British ones use Enfield " off set " rifle sling swivels ?Chris

Big Al
Perhaps it saw use by the Greek Army?
whiskey6eod
I've seen those side-mounted swivels on Soviet lend-lease return parts kits before. (At least they were advertised as such).

dalbert
The French guns usually have Berthier sling swivels. David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com
765 21D
Hi David, Yes you are right, but do you think this one is post war? The sling swivel on this 1928A1 Thompson's butt was put on the right side first and then moved to the left.
