Oldtrooper
I received and installed the last piece on my 1918 conversion of the OOW 1918A3 ... The 1918 gas regulator ... Test fired with three full magazines and it ran fine. Now ... Looking for opinions ... Blue the entire rifle, or parker the flash hider, gas regulator, and butt plate? At the rate that our work is backing up I have plenty of time to decide. The blue finish would be more authentic, but man would that big receiver show the fingerprints. Thoughts? M40scoutsniper
Blued! I have a blued one and it shows fingerprints constantly, but its beautiful. You wont regret it. I use UNO cards to keep from scratching the receiver with the take-down pins.

jl7422
The blued guns weren't all a high polish either. I've seen a few that I believe still have their original finish and it's almost a matte blue (I wouldn't call it a polish under the blue).
