GUNHEEP
I know this is not the right forum, but maybe somebody can help in locating some beretta mp38a accessories? Like the mag pouches, cleaning kit, sling and rod? I looked EVERYWHERE...Ima does not have anything except the sling? Not sure if it is correct? A web search turns up nothing..check all the gun forumsThank youAndy440-525-4689 cel
TSMGguy
Some things are just hard to find. The more obscure the firearm, the tougher the search, if you're looking on line. Often, a seller can't identify what he has, so a eBay or Gunbroker search term like "MP38A" will yield nothing. If you're patient, you can wade into the militaria section of eBay and search more generally, like "sling" or "pouch". You'll have to sift through many entires, but you'll eventually find just what you want. The beautiful part of this is that very few other people will have that kind of patience, and you'll likely get the item at a bargain or a reasonable price! This technique recently worked very well for me, again. I was looking for a WWII vintage holster for a Beretta M1934 pistol. Sure enough, there it was on eBay, in truly excellent condition, identified only as an "unknown holster". I got it for the opening bid, which was very low. timkel
Your on the right track. Do your research to find pictures and descriptions of the items you seek. As stated above, pieces may be labeled as belonging to the MP38A but really not, or the reverse. ...Isn't there also a bayonet, stripper clips and a mag loader for the 38a?For me the hunt is half the fun. Also, I keep an eye on Gunbroker.com--set it up where you get an alert for what you're looking for. It will come up sooner or later. n64atlas
There is a bayonet that is like the Carcano folding bayonet. There is a reproduction being made for both of these rare bayonets at a good price. Here is the reproduction Beretta bayonet with an original Carcano bayonet

StrangeRanger
The utility of a bayonet on a rifle is questionable but I find the idea of having one on an SMG is almost laughable
n64atlas
I ha nd to hand an no more ammo, it's loads better than a rock or rifle butt. Not all fighting is from a distance.
Petroleum 1
The bayonet option on the 38a was originally made for the police dept. When the military ordered the 38a the bayonet was eliminated from the design.
1gewehr
The bayonets on our M16A1s kept the Marialistas from coming though the fences at Fort Chafee in the early 80's. None of us felt that they were of questionable use, then! My Sterling also has a bayonet lug. The Swedish K can be fitted with one as well. Granted, the 15" blade on the Swedish bayonet is more intimidating than the little Jungle Carbine bayonet that fits on the Sterling! Aside from riot control or prisoner control, I don't think a SMG with bayonet is my favorite close-combat weapon.
