philasteen
It's a dumb question, I feel like I should know - what is the part in this photo? http://users.rcn.com/philistine/8.jpg
full auto 45
Brass cleaning rod. Crap, you edited the photo after my answer. Isn't that a tool for a Enfield rifle?
TD.
I have recently seen this item advertised as a WWII type tool or screwdriver for a Thompson Submachine Gun - but I really have my doubts. There are about 4 different types of this tool. Last year at Knob Creek, IMA had the collection for 10 bucks. I passed.
philasteen
That's where I had seen it - advertised as a Thompson accessory but it really wasn't. Thanks. I was wondering why I didn't get one with my 28 kit from Dan's Ammo.
amafrank
I've seen these same tools in cleaning/maintainance kits for the Mosin Nagant rifles. It lends another piece of evidence that the tommies and their parts came from eastern europe at some point. Frank
full auto 45
Frank is right, it was the Nagant not the Enfield I saw it with.
