John in IN
I've decided to sell my Thompson SMG and wanted to offer it here in the Thompson community before going to the usual NFA boards. It's believed to have been sent to England during the WW2 Lend/Lease progam, never issued, and then sent back here after the war. It's in beautiful condition with matching numbers, and is one of the few with the "TOMMY GUN" stamping. I'll let the pictures show the condition. http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy02.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy01.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy03.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy04.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy05.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy07.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy06.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy08.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy09.jpg http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/mytommy11.jpg Nice US and British markings! The price is $19,500 and the gun is on a Form 4 in Indiana. The gun fires flawlessly. I'll include an L drum and several 30 round stick mags. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, John

dalbert
Well, if that means what I think it means, looks like this Thompson may have found a new home in less than an hour... David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com

hawksnest
WOW! I have a lend lease, 1928A-1, marked "Tommy Gun", with British proofs. S/N 165xxxNAC, matching numbers. Less than a thousand numbers apart. Mine is not for sale. The 1928A-1 for sale is sure a nice looking Thompson.
John in IN
hawksnest: I guess we are right in the range of when they were marking them this way! Here's some pics of what goes with the gun. I've got four 30 round mags (3 Seymour, 1 Crosby): http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/TSMG30rdmags.jpg Two drums (1 Bridgeport and one of the later 39 round "XL" drums): http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/TSMG40and50rddrum.jpg And a vertical fore grip w/sling: http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/speartech/TSMGhorizgripwithsling.jpg Still waiting for a definitive answer on the gun. If it turns out be a no, I'll offer it to the next in line. Thanks, John
