1928 A1 Lend/Lease Thompson SMG For Sale

Recommended Posts

I've decided to sell my Thompson SMG and wanted to offer it here in the Thompson community before going to the usual NFA boards.

It's believed to have been sent to England during the WW2 Lend/Lease progam, never issued, and then sent back here after the war.

It's in beautiful condition with matching numbers, and is one of the few with the "TOMMY GUN" stamping.

I'll let the pictures show the condition.

Nice US and British markings!

The price is $19,500 and the gun is on a Form 4 in Indiana. The gun fires flawlessly. I'll include an L drum and several 30 round stick mags.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, John

WOW! I have a lend lease, 1928A-1, marked "Tommy Gun", with British proofs. S/N 165xxxNAC, matching numbers. Less than a thousand numbers apart. Mine is not for sale. The 1928A-1 for sale is sure a nice looking Thompson.

hawksnest: I guess we are right in the range of when they were marking them this way!

Here's some pics of what goes with the gun.

I've got four 30 round mags (3 Seymour, 1 Crosby):

Two drums (1 Bridgeport and one of the later 39 round "XL" drums):

And a vertical fore grip w/sling:

Still waiting for a definitive answer on the gun. If it turns out be a no, I'll offer it to the next in line.

Thanks, John

I told a friend of mine about this one and sent him the pics. And told him to sell his two wes hurleys to get it.

{However too late}It is still nice to see something come up for sale that is really nice.

And one day all of us no matter how we hate it.will be selling it all anyhow.but can enjoy it for the time we have.

The cold reality of life is just as Cold as a 21a Colt barrel. just before you run a 100 rounds down it.

nice Tommy and good pic's.thanks for the afternoon enjoyment. Ron/Colt21a
