  1. Both myself and the seller have C&R FFL’s so technically no I don't run a business.
  2. I have a question and I hope you might be able to help me out. My Transfer paperwork came through for a Thompson SMG on a form 4. Now I need to take possession of it from the previous owner. I am in Louisiana the gun is in central Fla. It just so happens that my brother-in-law is making a road trip to the area in Fla. where the gun is located, unfortunately I cannot make the trip. What I need to know Is it legal for him to pick up the gun from the previous owner and transport it back to me in Louisiana? The paperwork would be with the gun. It would certainly be safer and much cheaper than handing it over to FedEx for them to ship. It would seem to me that he would merely be doing the same thing that a FedEx employee would be doing wouldn't he? If it is legal, is there an ATF form that I would have to fill out to do this? Thanks in advance for your response. Mike H.
  3. Stan did a great job on one of my Thompson's many years ago. He taught his son the business. Sorry to hear this, I add my condolences. MH
  4. Why don't you try calling that number instead of texting and see what happens?
  5. It looks like Sarco Inc.has the drum key for winding your drum. https://www.sarcoinc.com/thompson-drum-key/
  6. David, since the original finish was ruined and it's marred up, would you consider doing a complete restoration of the pistol?
  7. Looks like it could possibly be some form of surveying tripod
  8. Stored flat on one side where water got to it no mystery here. Blood, nah that would be a big stretch. Years ago if anything was rusted or pitted they would always claim it was “blood” pitted. Makes for nice folklore but it’s pretty much never the case.
  9. Here is what I'm getting at, I knew this but this video explains why his explanation is pure nonsense.
  10. 9 months here on a Thompson transfer and nothing but crickets.
  11. Agreed, it may be salvageable. if it is not, a Colt era replacement sight may take forever to find. The other option would be to clean up and smooth out a '28 sight as a replacement, although I know purists would frown upon that.
  12. I’m sure Baldwin, his lawyer, and whomever his “firearm expert” is that they hired for his defense cooked up this explanation in the hopes that it will create some doubt as to his guilt. And it just has hasn’t it. It sounds like the biggest load of manure that I’ve ever heard. Makes Biden sound like an amateur.
  13. Right, impossible to confuse a blank cartridge from a live round. At any rate, Baldwin never did the proper procedure to examine the gun cylinders with the armorer. He’s been around long enough to know that this is ALWAYS done before the actor accepts any kind of gun on set. This is a desperate attempt by his lawyer to try and introduce some flicker of doubt into his eventual trial.
  14. Baldwin is setting up his defense by stating he never pulled the trigger on the gun or pointed it at anyone. It must have been a "Magic Gun" that fires and points on it's own. I don't know if he's trying to claim temporary insanity by making such a stupid statement or if he really thinks that a member of the jury would actually buy his story. If so, that would probably make him the greatest actor in the world! https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/12/alec-baldwins-unbelievable-claim-negligent-homicide/
  15. I’ve shot 147gr flats in my suppressed Mac 11 with never a problem. Is that the 76 you just added the stock to? Is this the first time that you used the suppressor on the gun?
  16. I concur with Opee, If you always thought the stock on the 76 was somewhat lacking, this adaptor will allow you do have the choice to give you a solid rest on your shoulder and at the same time, give the gun a more modern look. Here's a look at mine which I just installed today. Do you concur?
  17. I'm not sure I understand this statement. Are you saying that the gun has 2 serial numbers stamped on it, the original and the IRS stamped number? The only reason that I ask this is that I have a M3 greasegun that has a IRS number and I can find no evidence of any previous number on it. It has its original finish. This has me stumped. I even did a FOIA on it and there was no evidence of a previous serial number on it.
  18. Frank, is it possible to get a copy of this book directly from you, inscribed?
  19. Ditto on Scott Andrey, I’ve tried for the past several years to get a suppressor adapter made he only took my info from me a year or two ago, and never heard back. Too bad, he did quality work on some things that you cannot get elsewhere.
  20. CMR wants 355 and 440 clams. Way too much. And the other you have to buy a bunch of other gun mags along with the two Mauser mags. I’ll keep looking.
  21. Sarco has been out of those mags for years as far as I know. In fact that was the guy I spoke to about getting more of them made. I tried to convince him that he would easily have enough sales to justify an order to manufacture.
  22. Please let me know where you are finding mags because I have found it almost impossible to find any for at least 5-7 years now. I found 2 in England, the first one I received the 2nd never made it through customs. Talked with one of the big gunpart dealers that used to stock them and he said the manufacturer has the dies and can make them but he was afraid to place an order to have them made because he said it took him years to sell the other ones.
  23. I will be playing a CIA agent in a film on Wednesday and Thursday , I will let you know how closely they follow the gun prerequisites for safety, hopefully Baldwin will not be anywhere near
