On the 30-06 pouch, many countries gifted the Garand during WW2 and thereafter often had several different caliber rifles. So different calibers were clearly marked to avoid the mis-issuing of ammo. Also, many countries in the Commonwealth received US 1917 Enfield rifles that were made in .30-06, the rifles were marked with a red band to void confusion, see if the mag pouch will hold the stripper clips used for those.

I'm glad I read you guys' reviews, I had skipped this show. Watched it today and enjoyed it. I am especially surprised at what a good effort came from Harrelson. Thanks guys! -

Who makes the extended bolt handle you are speaking about? -
Well, I had to sell off a Mauser Broomhandle to afford it, but tomorrow I pick up a new AO 1927! I've always loved the look of these and now will finally have one. As i already have the M1 version I am in good shape on stick mags. Can't wait to get pics of "Da Boys" together. https://shopkahrfirearmsgroup.com/firearms/thompson-t1100d.asp

100 vs 50 round drum
DeaconKC replied to DeaconKC's topic in Thompson Semi-Auto Discussion Forum (West Hurley & Kahr Semis)
Thanks! -
Well, I finally found a 1927 Thompson and am trading for it. It has a 100 round drum with it and I have never played around with one of these before. Obviously larger and heavier, what are the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other. My current M1 only takes stick mags, so it is a learning curve for me. I do plan on using them in Zoot Shooting events. Thanks

Great combination! -
When I bought mine, I had heard the horror stories too. S I took it home, took the springs out, slathered on some lapping compound and ran the bolt back and forth several hundred times. Cleaned thoroughly, re-assembled and it has run perfectly with several hundred rounds through it so far with out malfunction.
