  1. I recently completed the sale of my 28’ and have a few extra items to sell with Dave’s permission. I’ll take cash, check or money order. Shipping will just be actual cost. A special thanks to everyone on this board for all of the Thompson knowledge I was able to learn over the years. Please let me know if I am out of line with any prices as it has been quite a while since I purchased anything. Thanks again, Greg Breach oiler $35 2 firing pins and 1 spring - $50 Complete bolt, actuator and blish - SPF 5 misc. XXX mags - SPF Richardson tool - $25 American Thunder (2 editions) and Thompson American Legend - $150 for all three 4 L drums, one modern AA and three form “keepshooting” website that work very well, no dents, scratches - SPF Misc spare parts - SPF
  2. Ill go ahead and add a few more pics. Also, here are a few questions answered: - The wood is Dans. He made it for me a few years ago. It already had the front grip and he thought it might be one of his - The barrel is an original that was brought up to the correct specs by PK. He put the ring sight on the front but didnt pin it because if iirc it wasnt necessary -It has a Gordon flat ejector installed by PK -It does have the milled grip mount from PK -It does have internals from PK for both 21 and 28 configuration Please let me know if there are any additional questions and Ill post some more pics. It is at a local gun shop now and certainly is an attention getter. They had another Westie and it is nice to see the quality of PKs work compared to the original.
  3. Thanks to all for the feedback. This board has always been extremely helpful with all things related to Thompsons! Ill offer the collection to board members for $20K, otherwise Ill hold on to it and maybe have my great grandchildren see what the market is for the 200th anniversary of the Thompson in 2121!
  4. Would anyone have any data regarding sale price of a PKd 28? Please PM me with any suggestions. Thanks!
  5. With Daves Permission: After careful consideration I am looking into selling my 1928 PKd Westie along with several other items as a package deal. First is the fully PK reworked 1928. The work was completed about 3 years ago and I have the receipt showing the serial number and what work was done. Some upgrades include a Herigstad flat ejector, original Lyman ladder site, 1921 style front site and PK internals to function as either a 1928 or a 1921. Other items include a Merle tuned serialized C drum, 4 Taiwanese L drums, a Herigstad viola case and several spare parts. Id also include a few books: Richardsons Thompson Technical volume 1, American Thunder, Thompson: the American Legend, and American Thunder third edition. My asking price for the collection is $25K primarily considering what I think the value of the gun would be. Ill take some additional pictures of the spare parts, drums, etc. please PM me if you have any questions or think I am way off on the price. It has truly been a pleasure to own and enjoy but now its someone elses turn.
  6. I have a PKd WH 28 that I used it in. The kit does have the knob for use in an M1. Ill take some more pictures and send to you if you would like. There are extensions for use with a barrel that either has a Cutts or not.
  7. Selling Merle kit complete with 6 drums (mounts manufactured by Merle), 2 Black Dog 30 round mags and 2 Ceiner 30 round mags. The kit will work with either a 28 or M-1. It does have the channel milled in the side of the barrel to facilitate installation without removal of the ejector. One of the drums has the screws broken off but still functions. Based on previous sales, asking $2000 firm. Please PM me with any questions or if you would like additional pictures. Thanks
  8. Yes - It is a PK disc probably 4-5 years old. I didnt realize these were susceptible to disintegration. I have reached out to PK and will get a few to have some on hand. It really worried me that I didnt realize it had failed until after I broke the gun down for cleaning.
  9. I was shooting my PKd WH 1928 today and after breaking it down for cleaning discovered the buffer had disintegrated. It is probably 4-5 years old. Has anyone else experienced this and should even the more modern buffers be changed every few years? The gun is only shot at most about 2000 rounds per year. Thanks in advance.
