cbmott
Gents, anyone with one of the Herigstad Books able to look up Thompson 3926 for me? Thanks.
TD.
Interesting. NO 3926 is not referenced by serial number in my 3rd or 6th Edition Heristad books. I am guessing an oversight that was never caught during proofing. If you have NO 3926, may I recommend a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. cbmott
Thanks TD! No I don’t have it, but it does exist. I know a little history on it but wasn’t sure if there was any other info on it floating around out there. Thanks again I owe you a beer.
TD.
If you have any idea of the original purchaser for NO 3926, I can try to look it up that way in Gordon's books.
firearm
Before GH passed, he gave me a disc with all the infomation on it he used to produce his book. I checked it last night as the #3126 is skipped. I am sure it was an oversight.
Arthur Fliegenheimer
Another Colt 1921A that escaped the GH inventory. #2373 has an I.D. tag on grip, but is indecipherable.
cbmott
It was bought by a police Dept in NJ. I’ll need to ask the owner which one he got it from. Story goes in the Dept that a low life killed a cop in the 20’s or 30’s and ended up getting off from the murder charge so the officers took a shotgun and 3926 and....took care of the guy.
