Newbie Question

Since it isn't going to be shot much, I would print out one of those diagrams showing all the parts and simply buy one of each excluding the receiver and lower.

 

Or be like some of us here and buy a dozen of each part which will end up lasting you 10 lifetimes. :P

I'll go against the tide and say just shoot it. These things are very robust and if something does eventually break, there are enough parts around that you'll find what you need.

 

It will be a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of spares just in case something gives out....

So your out shooting and you right off the bat mangle your recoil spring and the day is done. You say to your date, who considered you in the first place because of your Thompson, sorry honey, try out this red rider bb gun instead. There goes her day and your evening because she decided to pay an evening visit to Julio. Just sayin.

Extractor, ejector and bolt. And Don't forget the barrel.

Try to find a nice original to rathole away. Green Mountain makes great repro barrels but they don't make the originals anymore.

Wood is cheap, too.

Recommended:

A few recoil springs

complete bolt

Any tiny part, pin, screw or spring that is easy to lose during disassembly/cleaning/ect.

 

Nice to have:

Complete spring kit

Ejector

trigger group

 

To have just in case for long term:

barrel

handguard hanger

wood pieces
