trenchcollector
I just purchased a very nice Savage M1 Thompson. During the initial inspection and test fire a small piece of metal fell out of the rifle. Further inspection revealed the grip mount had broken. I am looking for help finding a milled Savage grip mount for it. Would prefer original NOS over repro. Thanks for any help. TSMGguy
Milled originals are very hard to find. Paul Krogh makes a beautiful, milled steel repro. Contact him at p-k@q.com.

trenchcollector
It was the original milled grip mount. I have pictures to share but not sure how to post them here.
Countryboy77
How did it give out? Screw threads or dod it just break? Seems like a pretty sturdy piece of steel
StrangeRanger
The barrel stop broke on mine and the whole mount just slid out of the receiver
Got Uzi
I was test firing it for him/giving him a Thompson demonstration and when I removed the mag.out fell the tab. Things happen.
dalbert
I have said this several times, but in my experience, the grip mount is the most common Thompson part to break. Most folks dont believe it. David
