harvester of sorrow
Well, the waiting on the Form 4 has started! I bought the Group gun discussed further down the board, went and saw it at my dealer's place. Beautiful! Has brass ejection marks, and minor dings on buttstock, but other than that it looks new! Also, I shot one of these about 8 years ago, but I'd forgotten how heavy they are. VERY, VERY heavy. Can't wait to take possession! I'm planning on shooting CMP M2, FNM, or PS Korean, any other suggestions?
ammo
Congratulations! I have not decided what to shoot in mine either. I can't get the CMP M2 I am not a member and am a bit concerned about the Korean. Let me know what ammo you end up liking.
21 smoker
harvester,...now would be a good time to take up reloading your own.It is very satifying sending lead downrange that you made and can afford to shoot. There is a lot of surplus ammo components available that allows the reloader to duplicate original mil spec ammo just like our forefathers used to defend this country. You might want to give it a try... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
Sleuth
I reload for my BAR. You must trim cases, as the BAR (or mine, at least), has 'weak' headspacing, and cases will grow longer. I get about 4 loading, then the case head seperates. But what the heck, I'm not in combat with it! With careful buying (and I already have all the gear), it costs me about 12-15 cents per round. guy sajer
re: ammo Other than the US GI surplus I stock-piled a few years back , my Winchester seemed to like the newly mfg PMC ball ammo .
