I bought my MP40 bolt safety strap and a MP40 sling from the same seller (I believe in Germany if I recall correctly):

See the above link.  They are both very nice high quality reproductions.

One thing of interest is when I ordered my MP40 sling I initially received what turned out to be a MP 1928 sling (according to the seller).  The seller promptly sent me a MP40 sling and told me I could keep the MP 1928 sling (which is a beautiful sling).  I've still got the MP 1928 sling, so if anyone has a need for one PM me.  The seller certainly fixed the situation quickly, which was much appreciated.

op...Look on eBay or gunbroker there are plenty of choices repro and vintage. There are some post war choices too. The MP44 uses the Mauser K98 sling. Make sure you get one with the keeper the sturm needs that part for the stock attachment.

That is where I purchased the K98 Mauser sling that I put on the MP-44.
It is a very well made leather sling.

I recently lucked into a nice MP-40 sling that someone put on a repro holster as a shoulder strap!
